Big things and Small Packages

Well, things have been happening very recently and quite amazing things as well!
Firstly I won tickets to see Paloma Faith and Alan Pownall at the iTunes festival on July 7th. I was really quite excited about that, it's going to be great!

Then on Thursday I got up super early (6am) and was in town at 7, waiting outside Vodafone for the iPhone 4. Apparently, they only had six 16GB models, and thirty 32GB, and there were 12 people in front of me, but I got one of the only 16GB models! I was so amazed with it, and I still am!

Then yesterday, I checked my email later at night, and I won tickets to see the Scissor Sisters at the iTunes festival as well! I couldn't believe it at all, I've never won anything at all and then two things come along! I'm going to go with my brother, and it's next Thursday, so really soon! So excited.

Apples

So, it's been a while eh? Well not that long actually.
Updates: I've decided I want the iPhone 4, and I am actually going to my Vodafone on the day it's released before the shop opens so I can get mine. I hope I do! I thought I was going to be able to order it, but that's only from the Apple website.

I passed my exams, which I'm very pleased about, I could have done with better grades (they weren't too bad) but considering what I was going through at the time, I am just pleased I passed!
Also, I won tickets to see Paloma Faith and Alan Pownall at the iTunes festival in July which I was very pleased with! Excited to be going to London, haven't been in a while.

My project at uni is going well, we're not really doing THAT much, but it's alright, though I probably should be doing more work towards it. Also I've been putting off my book for a reason even I don't know! But I'm hoping I'll be able to get my head into it soon.

At the minute I don't know where I stand in my own head about relationship stuffs, I like 2 people (one guy one girl) but I don't know, I'm not looking for anything long term, possibly not even a relationship, but I am lonely and would just like someone to hold and kiss. I think life is going well though, things are on the up in all respects, I'm having less and less bad patches, and starting to feel better about myself which I think is good.

So yeah, very random update, but there you go. I will probably post my next one when I have the iPhone (hopefully) and if there's anything mega-interesting before then, there will be another update :).

Arrivals

Well, I'm back in Oxford and have started my project with university. It's going well, pretty much just playing with bacteria and spectrophotometers... But making little experiments up as we go is quite fun.

My dresses from China have finally arrived, and they are gorgeous and PERFECT fit - I ordered custom size. I no longer need one of them, but will use it, it's my dream dress! The other one is perfect for my brother's wedding and I no longer have to spend more money on finding things for that.

I've also just bought some new converse. They are amazing, I've wanted them for months and the store has only just got them in! They're grey with a pink flower pattern. Pink is not usually my colour ;).

Unfortunately my book has been sent to the back of my to-do list of late, as I've been preoccupied with project work. I promise I will get some updates sometime soon :).

Monday marks either a good, great or bad day for me... It's results day so it could go either way... I'm hoping it's good and that I don't have to retake, but there was a heck of a lot going on in that time.

Thankfully, the next day is when I get into ordering the iPhone 4 which is either going to be a consolation or celebration of results. I've waited so long for an iPhone now, and now I'll be one of the first with the NEW new iPhone. It's paid to wait, and my contract is due for upgrade the exact day pre-order starts. So I'm not thinking about Monday, just concentrating on Tuesday.

More updates to come. (And exam results!)

Plans

Well... I'm going back up to Oxford on Saturday for a 6 week project at uni which means I get to play with bacteria, act all geeky, wear a labcoat and write a lab diary every day, AND it counts towards my third year. I'm quite excited, and I don't even care if that makes me a huge geek!

I haven't got as much of my book done as I hoped while I was down, but I'm hoping I can do that while doing this project up at uni. I should have more free time as I don't have exams to prepare for.

Hopefully the dresses I ordered will (finally) arrive in Oxford either before us or when we get there. I don't actually need the prom dress I ordered any more because it didn't get there on time. BUT I do love it so I don't really care!

I don't have any excerpts this time from my book, cause I haven't got much done. Hopefully will have something soon. I'll keep you posted.

A New Start

Well, things are starting over for me. I've just finished my second year at university, going back there on Saturday to do a project which counts towards my third and final year. It should be fun, I get to do proper lab work every day and get to play with bacteria. I'm also rewriting what I've got so far of my story from 1st to 3rd person. I'm more inspired than ever for it, I think it could go really well.

I've recently broken up with my girlfriend of 20 months. I think it was best, I am happier for it and I think that next year at university will be better because of it. I'm quite excited for my final year! There may be a lot of partying, but I AM going to work harder, I've already told myself that, and I'm not going to let myself get away with doing bugger all for the whole year and then worrying about it at exam time.

Here's the teaser bit from my story, tell me if you like it:

"The day I found out what the world was really like – who and what was out there – was the most magical day of my life. I’m not talking about just people and the world as we know it... There’s more – a lot more than that."

If you like it I may post excerpts from the book as I go along. But I want to know if you do. If no-one cares than I won't!
